Hi, I'm Katelyn!

A hairstylist turned housewife raised in Colorado but currently living in Las Vegas with my hype man; (aka husband) Tyler. Together we have two sweet little girls Macy, & Ruby who we are attempting to raise confident & independent all while they run around in princess dresses. Balance right? We are an airline family who loves to travel & see new places! My goal is to inspire the creative in you no matter what phase of life you are in! There is something for everyone here! 1 year in the Barley Bungalow🏡 Owning a home m 1 year in the Barley Bungalow🏡 Owning a home means everything to me (if you knew me irl before we bought this house then I apologize for it consuming every conversation 😅), and not a day goes by that I don’t feel immensely grateful I get to call this house my own. After meeting the seller I felt even more connected to this house. She told me the family that sold it to her had three little girls and would joke about how they’d always sneak into each other’s room just like I explained my own girls would do. She told me she had a cocker spaniel when her kids were small and her and her husband would have “heart talks” out on the porch swing. I’m honored to carry on the legacy of this home and it has truly been one of the best years of our lives 😭 A year ago I was SOBBING writing this letter to the seller. I think Ruby going into kindergarten next school year really made me realize these are the last few months of having a little one at home before they’re both in school full time. Which don’t get me wrong, I’m also excited for that phase of life but I just want to soak it all in while I can! All that to say, from now until school starts I plan on posting here just a little less and being unplugged a little more.
